Floating Melodies: While my Guitar Gently Weeps
As part of the Adelaide's Guitars in Bars and Umbrella Winter City Sounds Festivals, local guitarist Reid Sampson (who featured on our SA Life story http://www.salife7.com.au/adelaide/places/entertainment/floating-melodies--evening-cruises-onboard-popeye) will be entertaining you with selections of Tommy Emmanuel, jazz standards and he may even make his guitar weep.
The sounds of the guitar are vast, intriguing and can be so beautiful. The guitar can take you places and times that may have not even been to. What is a campfire without a guitar being played, the mall without a guitar busker or a teen moment of either a girl or boy playing you a song they wrote for you on guitar. It is definitely time we paid homage to the guitar, and Reid Sampson is one of the best guitarists I know. You will get lost in the melodies and drift away from reality for a while.
Locally cheese platter and glass of South Australian quality wine included in the ticket price! Bookings are essential and boarding takes place from Elder Park Dock 10 minutes before the start of the concert.
