Siobhan Owen – Celtic/Classical Crossover Singer & Harpist

Siobhan was born in 1993 in North Wales, and moved with her family to Australia when she was 2. A classically trained singer from the age of 9, she started playing harp in 2008 after being invited to perform with French singer/harpist Cecile Corbel on her Australian tour. Siobhan has won awards for both her classical and Celtic singing, and has released 4 CDs, including her award winning "Storybook Journey".

In 2012 Siobhan proudly represented her birth country by singing the Welsh Anthem at the Australia versus Wales Rugby Test Match to a packed Sydney stadium and televised to millions worldwide!

A popular performer at festivals and concerts aroundAustralia, Siobhan is gaining recognition internationally. She made herUK, US and French debuts in 2013 – performing a number of concerts in theUKin January, headlining the Los Angeles St David’s Day Festival in March, and performing at a Showcase inFrancein November.

In March 2014, Siobhan performed as the voice of Yseult in the World Premiere “Tristan & Yseult” in Nantes. She was chosen for this part by French songwriter/producer Alan Simon after he found her on Youtube. Siobhan returned to Francein December 2014 to appear as La Sirene (The Mermaid) in another Alan Simon production – a children’s show called “Cap’taine Kid” in aid of l’Association Killian.

In February 2015, Siobhan travelled to Siberia to perform as the voice of Yseult in the Russian Premiere of “Tristan & Yseult”

In June 2015 Siobhan started her month long “Celtic Roots” European Tour, which included concerts inFrance,Italy,GermanyandBelgium. She returned to Walesto perform at the Llangollen International Music Festival, and later embarked on a short Irish tour. In September, 2015, Siobhan recorded 2 songs for BBC TV’s “Songs of Praise”, which are yet to be broadcast. In November, she joined Jonathan Antoine’s “Believe Tour”, performing in Lytham and Gateshead.

While based in Wales, Siobhan teamed up with Cardiff based songwriters Heneghan & Lawson to record new songs for her next album, as well as 2 music videos – “The Snow Goose Song” and a beautiful version of “Auld Lang Syne”.
