Tell me more about this wonderful evening...

Buy your ticket online now to guarantee your seat (tickets will only be available at the door on the evening if we don't sell out before). Tickets are $20 plus Dramatix booking fees. If you're in the city and want to buy a ticket in person, send us a message on Facebook (www.facebook.com/groups/AdelaideBrowncoats/)

On the night, we'll be ready for you to join us at 6pm at the Capri Theatre, Goodwood. Come in, enjoy the atmosphere and browse the stalls of Whedon-related goods on offer from select Adelaide sellers. There'll be raffle tickets and replica costumes, so if you feel inspired, embrace it and wear a costume yourself!

At 7pm we'll start the screening with a message from CSTS and then it's on to the main event: Serenity. It doesn't get any shinier than that!

Who are we?

We are the Adelaide Browncoats - a group of Joss Whedon fans who got together to misbehave, raise money for charity and indulge in our love of the TV show Firefly, the movie Serenity and all things Whedon-related. We’re part of a larger, worldwide movement that holds annual Can’t Stop the Serenity events, where all proceeds go to charity.

Which charities are we supporting?

As part of the world-wide CSTS movement, 75% of the proceeds go towards Equality Now (http://www.equalitynow.org/).

The remaining proceeds go towards a local charity. This year, the Adelaide Browncoats have chosen to support the Hutt Street Centre (www.huttstcentre.org.au). Each year the Centre serves around 50,000 meals and offers social work and support services to nearly 2,000 people. The money raised from our event will help provide services to the 200 plus homeless people who visit the Hutt Street Centre every day.
