Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are proud to announce that on Friday November the 26th we are giving you the opportunity to show your support for Charles Brice at the Bricey, Be Strong! Gala Dinner and Auction.

The event is a Black Tie affair tipped to begin at 7:30pm with supplied drinks starting at 7pm, from which time we welcome you to join the Brice family at Morphettville Racecourse in the Panasonic Pavilion upper level. We will welcome you to enjoy your three course dinner with your choice of red wine, white wine, Champagne, beer, soft drink or water.

Tickets will cost $120 per person, or $1200 for a table of ten. We encourage you to gather the support of your friends and family in order to conjure a table of comrades to support Charles through this difficult time. It is noted that a table of friends will have much stronger bidding power during the heated auction than someone on their lonesome.

Each ticket will automatically be entered into the "Entry Raffle". This raffle consists of a range of prizes, however the main item in this raffle will be a framed football guernsey with the number 1 on it's back, which Charles wore during the 2009 season playing for Pembroke Old Scholars Football Club. Charles had 9 Best on Ground performances resulting in his receipt of both the POSFC C-Grade Best and Fairest and the SAAFL J A Burchell Medal playing in this guernsey. The framed guernsey will have a plaque to honour the occasion.

For those in Charles' generation, and the keen ones who aren't, there will be an after-party at The Kings Head Hotel on King William Street. Buses will be provided for only $5 for those looking to kick on past our closing time of midnight. This ticket entitles you to a bus ride from Morphettville Racecourse to The Kings Head and entry to The Kings Head, but not to any beverages at The Kings Head. You will need to purchase these tickets separately since we understand that not everyone will choose to attend the After Party.

Also most likely concerning those in the younger age brackets on the Census, there will be a student discount of $20 on the night. We ask those entitled to this discount (by attending School, University or TAFE full-time) to purchase a normal ticket online and claim their $20 refund on the night - at which time you will be required to present your Student ID. If you attend as part of a table you will still be entitled to this discount.

The night will include entertainment from local band: Satisfaction - the Rolling Stones Revue who are able to get those in any age bracket on the Census up on their feet to jive the night away. We would also like to thank our major sponsor, Browns of Padthaway, for their generous support of the evening.

Guests' questions about Charles' condition and situation will hopefully be answered on the night by a special guest speaker who will be able to speak from a medical point of view about Charles.

While the night will be riddled with enjoyable ways to help Charles and the Brice family, the night's main feature will be an Auction targeted at providing high quality items to guests who are willing to bid. The night will consist of a silent auction of a large number of items and a live auction for the most significant items. Donations for auction items are still being accepted so please contact us on the details below if you wish to donate.

Among an ample display of impressive donations, the major auction item will be a pair of Charles' football boots which will be mounted on a wooden base and in a clear outer-shell, with a plaque to commend their significance.

A full brochure of the auction items will be provided to guests prior to the event to aid in their preparation for the evening.

To purchase your tickets, please click on the appropriate link on the right hand side of the page, and follow the prompts. If you do not wish to purchase your ticket online, please contact us on the details below to discuss your options. Please note, that if you purchase a "ticket" rather than a "table", you will be required to nominate your "table captain" after you purchase your ticket to ease in seating arrangements. This can be done preferably immediately after the time of purchase, or any time until 2 weeks prior to the event. If you do not follow this step, we might not be able to stop people on your table outbidding you.

We look forward to seeing you on the night and appreciate your support of Charles in advance.

Sincerely,

The Bricey, Be Strong! Gala Dinner and Auction Committee
