Let's Make A Song | Improv Workshop with On The Fly
8 August – 26 September 2018, Wednesdays @ 7.30pm (8 weeks)
Did you catch musical improv shows like Baby Wants Candy and Vicarious Cabaret during Fringe? Are you interested in learning how to make up a song on the spot?
Let's Make A Song is your eight-week introduction to musical improv. We will cover topics such as rhyming, song structure, song styles, song presentation, lyrics, short-form singing games, and communicating with an improvising musician. We'll also be doing scenes with music, and learning how to react to musical cues.
You don’t need to be a great singer to take this class. Taught by Mitre Khammash (Vicarious Cabaret) and Dane McFarlane (On The Fly Impro), musical improv is not only a great skill for improvisors to learn, it's also extremely fun.
