The CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) is an evidence-based, structured, brief psychological therapy, which helps individuals to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and learn or relearn adaptive skills and habits.

The topic will cover:

  • Assessment of anxiety disorders using a CBT framework to improve your ability to determine differential criteria for anxiety disorders.
  • How to deliver a behavioural rationale for anxiety disorders to provide an educative framework to clients.
  • The use of behavioral approaches in treating anxiety disorders (graded exposure, behavioural activation and relaxation techniques)
  • The importance of measurement, goal setting and collaborative therapeutic relationships.
