Anxiety and Depression: A Strengths Based Perspective
This introductory workshop provides allied health practitioners with an opportunity to gain an understanding of the impact that depression and anxiety can have on a person’s life.
Participants come away with a sound understanding of:
- Complexities facing people with anxiety,
depression and suicidal ideation - Strengths based theory and how this relates to anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation
- How to use Strength Based questioning and tools in a community based setting with
people suffering Suicidal ideation, anxiety and
depression - Theory of Risk Assessments in Suicidal ideation and how to link strengths based practice.
- Using practical risk assessments tools and tips on questions
- Confidence in dealing with suicidal ideation in a legal framework.
Meet the presenter: Jennie Charlton
Jennie qualified as a Social Worker in the UK - DIPSW 2003, BA (Hons) Social Work & Social Welfare 2004.
Prior to qualifying as a Social Worker Jennie was a Residential Support Worker for Children in Residential Care and this was the start to Jennie's interest in stopping Abuse of Children and supporting people to recognise and live with Anxiety and Depression including Suicidal Ideation.
