Humanitis & Untitled - Dance Double Bill

Adelaide College of the Arts Dance, Design and Technical Production students present:

Term 3 Dance Double Bill featuring 3rd Year Dance Students

Humanitis choreographed by Scott Ewen

We are all at risk.  Do we sit back and just accept the social norms and agreements that we taught, or do we allow ourselves to be led astray to the dark side?    The creatures of Humanitis will have to decide whether they continue spirally downwards or to follow the light to the good side.

Emerging choreographer Scott Ewen’s Humanitis, is a quirky new contemporary dance work that exposes our vulnerability to becoming deviant.

Untitled by Jo Stone

Untitled originated as a response to Sarah Kane’s play 448 Psychosis to become a reflection on our mental health system. It is a duet between a patient and doctor and the sharing of pain. A contamination. It speaks of the burden of a mind in disorder and a quick fix medicine dependant society. It is a compassionate observation of the human experience of disorder and solitude. A duet with self (as saviour and saved).
