Halfway to Forth

South Coast Folk Club presents Halfway to Forth - Concert starts at 8pm, doors open at 7pm. Fully seated - cabaret style. Parking on site. Doors open at 7pm. Licensed bar - byo supper/nibblies.

Halfway to Forth blend different styles of roots music into their own brand of earthy, homegrown and honest song-writing. Brothers Dan & Kyle deliver tight vocal harmonies, banjo driven ballads & toe tapping grooves for all ages. They take their name from the location of their family home, nestled in the hills, surrounded by rich farmland just outside of Devonport on the North coast of Tasmania. November 2009 saw their debut release, a 7 track EP entitled "Treasure for Memories". They've since kept busy with a move to Adelaide in early 2010, followed by extensive gigging in their new state while also playing a number of festivals and shows around Australia. The guys are getting homesick and will be moving back to Tassie after this concert, so don't miss your chance to see them!

"... with sublime skill and ‘hair on the back of the neck raising’ vocal harmonies, the brothers Dan and Kyle Lizotte slip into the occasional brotherly banter in between songs – but nothing disguises the genuine regard they have for each other, and nothing in the way of song writing ability is hidden from the audience. Folk, folk rock, country, R&B, rock, blues, pop and gospel – the influences are wide and strong – and we all loved it" ... Dave Greenslade - Fernies.

Entry is $20 ($15 conc) - byo supper/nibblies, drinks available at the bar at club prices. Doors open at 7pm

(Concession price is available to concession card holders and Port Noarlunga Bowling Club members - proof of entitlement must be produced. Companion Card is accepted).
