This will be a concert that gives you an insight into the world of songwriting and national and international touring.

MARTINE LOCKE, originally fromAdelaide, spends most of her time performing in theUS and her high energy level, super sharp wit, infectious smile, and strong songwriting quickly wins over any audience. She will be releasing her new CD while here inAdelaide and performing songs from that and old favourites. Many years ago Martine was half of the great Velvet Janes, one ofAustralia’s best loved, fiercely independent duos with passionate and honest songs that brought wide acclaim. She now travels the world in search of stories and tales to tell, expressing them through her songs and indeed through her stories. Music, performance and creativity are all Martine has ever known and she passionately lives, breathes and tackles all of life’s concerns through the heart of a creative soul.

She has just recorded a new CD and will be bringing that with her to Adelaide. Martine Locke brings a rambunctious, spirited, dynamic performance each time she performs and as columnist Lucky Clark wisely wrote once ‘…she will aim for your heart, as well as your feet’

LIBBY O’DONOVAN is a “powerful and sassy performer” (SMH), renowned for her nuanced interpretations and extraordinary voice. She is a critically acclaimed Jazz and Cabaret performer and an award-winning Musical Director. Libby has entertained audiences world-over with her unique talents, performing inNew York,Tokyo andToronto as well as Australia-wide.  Libby is also highly in demand as a composer, arranger and musical director. Most recently, she wrote and recorded the theme song for both the Adelaide Feast Festival and Women Say Something, Mardi Gras 2013 with Australian singer Beccy Cole.

KATHIE RENNER, has been crafting songs for twenty-something years and has released several CDs of her own in addition to three with Vincent’s Chair.  Kathie writes the music for Vincent’s Chair which arcs its way through many styles, from gentle bossa novas to jazz ballads, African township grooves to haunting melodies. Vincent’s Chair has taken to the international stage delighting audiences inEurope and theUK with their unpretentious revelation of quirky and touching stories. They are heading overseas again in May touringGermany and theUK and recording a new CD. 

This special concert will help raise funds to purchase equipment for future Trinity Sessions.
