Hulett & Rovics in Hobart
Alistair Hulett - His writing style never seeks the obvious path of easy rhyming or scanning schemes, instead seeking to challenge and provoke, as he explores where other songsmiths fear to tread… The combination of the songs, the delivery and that knife-edge Glaswegian voice is a weapon which refuses to take a background role.’ Taplas UK
David Rovics from the USA is one of the most politically sharp and poetically gifted singer/ songwriters around today. He has been called the musical voice of the progressive movement in the US. Amy Goodman has called him "the musical version of Democracy Now!" Since the mid-90's Rovics has spent most of his time on the road, playing hundreds of shows every year throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Japan
Peter Hicks will open the show in his inimitable style, playing some of his original material - perfectly complementing Alistair and David.
